MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511115801 A) filed by Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 23, 2025, for 'edge-enabled smart thermoelectric iot system for real-time anomaly detection and working method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Ayush Kumar Soni; Maansi Garg; Khushboo Malik; Divyansh Sharma; Dhanshri Parihar; and Dr. Divya Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an edge-enabled smart thermoelectric IoT system for real-time anomaly detection in cooling infrastructures. The system employs temperature and energy sensors interfaced with an edge processing unit executing a hybrid CNN-LSTM deep learning model and a dynamic threshold engine to identify abnormal thermal and electrical behaviours in thermoelectric and conventional cooling systems. The architecture performs local inference to reduce latency, enhance privacy, and ensure uninterrupted operation under low-bandwidth or intermittent network conditions. A cloud-optional communication interface enables monitoring through dashboards and selective data synchronization. The system predicts failures arising from nonlinear thermoelectric fluctuations, compressor inefficiencies, or cooling degradation, and issues alerts through local or remote channels. The invention advances reliability, efficiency, and predictive maintenance in cold-chain, HVAC, and industrial cooling applications."
