MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621021562 A) filed by Dr Abinash Kumar Sil; Anupam Jaiswal Sil; and Dr. Megha Verma, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, on Feb. 24, for 'edge-ai six sigma compliance and traceability orchestrator for quality and sustainability monitoring in disaster manufacturing.'

Inventor(s) include Dr Abinash Kumar Sil; Anupam Jaiswal Sil; and Dr. Megha Verma.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Edge-AI Six Sigma Compliance and Traceability Orchestrator for Quality and Sustainability Monitoring in Disaster Manufacturing This invention describes a portable, solar-powered device enables real-time quality control and sustainability monitoring for mobile or temporary manufacturing units deployed in disaster-relief environments. The system performs an environmental scan using GPS and ambient sensors to adapt sampling rates, sensor thresholds, and power consumption. Modular, plug-and-play sensor hubs support non-contact metrology, microfluidic analysis, and AI-based visual inspection to execute Six Sigma DMAIC analytics at the edge. A survival-criticality model prioritizes defect detection for essential outputs such as medical items, shelters, and consumables. Compliance modules store offline regulatory checklists and enforce pass/fail gates while generating encrypted audit logs. Material inputs are captured via RFID and recorded in a tamper-evident ledger with optional delayed anchoring when connectivity resumes. Renewable energy management integrates flexible photovoltaics and a manual generator with predictive power budgeting and graceful degradation to preserve compliance-critical functions under blackout conditions."
