MUMBAI, India, Dec. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411081327 A) filed by FLH Technologies Private Limited, Ludhiana, Punjab, on Oct. 25, 2024, for 'ecosystem for immune subtyping of solid tumors for precise prognosis and treatment.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a process and a system for immune subtyping of solid tumors for precise prognosis and treatment. The process and the system classify/ subtype patients, on the basis of immune activity within the tumour microenvironment, into at least three categories - elevated, moderate and suppressed immunity using at least one gene panel comprising a pre-determined type and number of gene IDs and sophisticated machine learning algorithms. With access to the sub-type and the genetic information processed for subtyping, the cancer prognosis and personalized cancer treatment may be provided by an oncologist to a cancer subject."
