MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006607 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'eatable storage device for beverage containers.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An eatable storage device for beverage containers, comprising a frame 1having primary and a secondary rings 3 installed around a beverage container, an AI-based imaging unit 4 for capturing multiple images, a motorized iris lid 5 for allowing the container to get passed through the rings 2,3 for affixing the frame 1on the container, a first sliding unit 6accessed by a user for accommodating the eatable that is to be consumed by the user, a suction unit 8 for acquiring a grip over the accommodated eatable for securing the eatable on the plates 7, a vertical slider 9 to translate a few accommodated plates 7 towards the secondary ring 3, a second sliding unit 10 for maintaining an equal distribution of the accommodated eatable on the rings 2, 3 and a non-contact moisture sensor for monitoring moisture level in the eatables."
