MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617008972 A) filed by Ateq; and Ateq Singapore Pte Ltd., Les Clayes-sous-Bois, France, on Jan. 29, for 'early leak detection method and device configured to implement such a method.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a method (100) for early leak detection on an object (10) by means of a leak detection device (1), the method (100) including the following steps: -establishing (S2) a pressure difference in at least one portion of the tested object (10), respectively with respect to the outside of the object (10); - measuring (S3), during a test cycle (CL) having a predetermined duration, a physical quantity (R) linked to the leak level (FU) in the at least one portion of the object (10); - comparing (S4) the measured value of the physical quantity (R) with a first reference extreme value (Rmax, Rmin); - determining (S5) whether the object (10) has a leak depending on the result of the comparison of the measured value with the reference value (Rmax, Rmin); and - interrupting (S6) the test cycle (CL) if it is determined that the tested object (10) has a leak."

The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 23, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/073756.
