MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621040811 A) filed by Gokul Global University, Patan, Gujarat, on March 31, for 'ear protection device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An ear protection device, comprising a platform 101 adapted to be positioned over a ground surface, a plurality of suction cups 102 is to adhere platform 101 to surface, an imaging unit to detect presence of a user, an inverted L-shaped extendable rod 104 configured with a detachable hollow cylindrical member 105 upon detection of the user to extend and position the hollow member 105 in contact with the user's ear, a motorized dispensing assembled to dispense the disposable ear protector within the member 105, a telescopically operated pusher 106 used to extend and push the ear protector out of the member 105 to extend and push the ear protector out of the member 105 into the user's ear, an robotic arm 110 apply a securing force to press the disposable ear protector against the user's ear to adhere to the user's ear."
