MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621007905 A) filed by Sumit Jain, Beohari, Madhya Pradesh, on Jan. 27, for 'e-commerce product recommendation system and enhanced product visibility using machine learning.'
Inventor(s) include Dr Nitin Upadhyay.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an e-commerce product recommendation system with enhanced product visibility using machine learning. The system employs a feedback-oriented, multi-stage recommendation framework that analyzes web access log data generated from user interactions with an e-commerce application. Selected attributes from the access logs are preprocessed to derive user sessions, which are further analyzed using frequent pattern mining to generate initial product recommendations and address the cold-start problem. User feedback is captured implicitly through product selection behavior and processed using a similarity-based algorithm to identify comparable user interests and product interaction patterns. Extracted product features such as price range, ratings, reviews, brand information, and new seller products are aggregated, filtered, and ranked to generate precise and personalized recommendations. The invention enhances product discovery, improves visibility of relevant and emerging products, and increases user engagement and conversion efficiency across e-commerce platforms."
