MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541125465 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Information Technology Design & Manufacturing, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 11, 2025, for 'dynamic pivoted savonius wind turbine.'

Inventor(s) include Jayavel S.; Prof. Shaligram Tiwari; Ramarajan J; and Mohanasaravanan P. S.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a dynamic pivoted savonius wind turbine (100), comprising a top guided plate (102a), a bottom guided plate (102b), a central shaft (104), a top slider (106a), a bottom slider (106b), a first guiding rod (108a), a second guiding rod (108b), a first pivoted savonius blade (110a) disposed between the first guiding rod (108a) and the central shaft (104), and a second pivoted savonius blade (110b) disposed between the second guiding rod (108b) and the central shaft (104). The first guiding rod (108a) and the second guiding rod (108b) may be rotatably guided by the top guiding groove (112a) and the bottom guiding groove (112b) to direct contraction and expansion of the first pivoted savonius blade (110a) and the second pivoted savonius blade (110b)."
