MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511113773 A) filed by Chandigarh University, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 19, 2025, for 'dynamic dual-treadmill and detachable lift system.'

Inventor(s) include Pankaj Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a dynamic egress assistance system for a moving vehicle that enables safe passenger exit during motion by generating a kinematic stationary field relative to the ground. The system includes a first and a second treadmill operating in opposing horizontal directions along an X-axis, and a lift platform movable along a Z-axis that detachably connects to either treadmill. A speed control module synchronizes treadmill motion with the vehicle's translational velocity, while a treadmill switching mechanism alternates their vertical positioning to form a stair-like oscillating structure. Coordinated movement between the treadmills and lift platform produces a continuous, stable transition surface, allowing passengers to safely disembark from a moving vehicle to a stationary environment with minimized relative motion and enhanced stability."
