MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023450 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 25, 2024, for 'dye application device.'

Inventor(s) include Namrata Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A dye application device, comprises of a housing 1 positioned over a fixed surface, a touch interactive display panel 2 is installed over the housing 1 to enable the user to select a type of dye, a pair of slots 3 crafted accessed by the users to insert hands within each of the slots 3 in order to position the hands within the housing 1, an imaging unit 4 is installed within the housing 1 for capturing and processing images of the hands, a pair of robotic grippers 6 installed within the housing 1 for positioning a conical chamber 7 gripped by each of the arm, a motorized grinder 15 arranged within the receptacle 9 to grind the dye leaves into paste and a primary iris aperture 8 arranged over vertex of each of the chambers 7 to dispense the dye over the hands."
