MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411007030 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'dust collection assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Komal Rehal; Dr Ankita Dadhwal; Dr Shweta Pandaey; Dr. Chamkaur Singh; Dr. Simrat Brar; and Pushpraj Shivhare.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A dust collection assistive device, comprising a semi-circular body 1 having a first and second portion arranged with a handle 2 to be gripped by a user and second portion configured with a plate 3 for collecting dust from fixed surface, a flap 4 configured at side portion of plate 3 via a rectangular motorized slider 5, an anemometer 6 detects direction of wind in surroundings, a camera 7 mounted on handle 2 for detecting presence of water along with dust on plate 3, a frame 8 equipped with a sieve 9 installed with the plate 3 via a primary motorized hinge 10 for separating water from dust, a heating unit 12 configured with sieve 9 for eliminating moisture from sieve 9, a semi-circular lid 14 attached with a motorized pivot joint 15 for preventing dust from blowing off, a weight sensor detects weight of dust collected in body 1."
