MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019780 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'dumpling preparation assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Divya Prakash; Rajiv Dutta; Arif Naseer; and Lomas Tomar.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A dumpling preparation assistive device, comprises of a body 1 having a first 2 and second portion 3 developed to be installed on a table top, a display panel 4 accessed by a user for providing input, a hot plate 5 integrated with an expandable pulley arrangement 6 for acquiring a size compatible for accommodating user-specified dimensions of dumpling, an imaging unit 7 for capturing multiple surrounding images, a speaker 8 for notifying user regarding loading of a stuffing onto tortilla, multiple extendible curved flaps 9 integrated with multiple motorized hinge joints 10 that are adapted for orienting flaps 9 to get converged at center of plate 5 for folding edges for tortilla over stuffing in order to prepare a mold of a dumpling, multiple Peltier units 11 for heating dumpling at an appropriate temperature followed by actuation of plate 5 to get heated up upto temperature for baking dumpling."
