MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631029051 A) filed by National Institute Of Technology, Patna, Bihar, on March 11, for 'dual-loop fractional-order agc system for ev- supported power systems delays and cyber attacks.'

Inventor(s) include Kumar, Deepak; and G. Lloyds Raja.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention pertains to a system (100) for load frequency control in a multi-area electric power system, comprises a communication system including a sensory network (1) to receive frequency deviation and tie-line power deviation signals and a communication delay element (2).A dual-loop controller system comprising a primary controller block (3) and a secondary controller block (6), where an area control error is generated through a summing junction (4) and processed to produce a control input signal (5). The control input drives a thermal power plant consisting of a GDB (7), a BDS (10), a turbine (8), and a generation rate constraint unit (9). The rotating mass and load model (12), a load disturbance module (13), and ancillary power support from PEV (15) and SMES (16) through a summation unit (14). Renewable energy sources including solar thermal (27) and wind power (31) are aggregated at a renewable summation point (29)."
