MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025469 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'dry bulk cargo unloading device.'

Inventor(s) include Jasgurpreet Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A dry bulk cargo unloading device comprises a frame 1 installed with plurality of suction cups 2 for securing of frame 1 with vehicle's trailer, plurality of openings 3 crafted equidistance from each other for unloading of a dry bulk cargo, multiple motorized lids 4 that are capable of being slid on the openings 3 to open/close the openings 3 to a level as per requirement, an artificial intelligence enabled image capturing module 5 openings 3 to determine number of trolleys kept and the alignment of the trolleys that are to be stored with the unloaded cargo, a speaker 6 to produce voice commands corresponding to proper alignment of the trolleys and a robotic arm 7 for properly aligning said trolleys with the openings 3."
