MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514031824 A) filed by Hirakawa Hewtech Corporation, Tokyo, on March 31, for 'drug injection device and drug injection assembly.'

Inventor(s) include Ootakeno, Souta; Suzuki, Yuutarou; and Ichinose, Yoshiaki.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The object is to provide a drug injection device and a drug injection assembly that can reduce the burden on the operator and prevent drugs such as liquid embolic materials from sticking to the hub 5 lumen. A drug injection device 1 is configured to be coupled at a distal end side A to a catheter 2 comprising a catheter body 21 having a catheter lumen 21a and a hub 22 having a hub lumen 224 joined to a proximal end side B of the catheter body 21 to communicate with the catheter lumen 21a, and to be supplied with a drug contained in a syringe barrel 31 from a proximal end side B, and injects the drug supplied from the syringe barrel 31 into a living body through the catheter lumen 10 21a without going through the hub lumen 224."
