MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517099360 A) filed by Jatco Ltd., Shizuoka, Japan, on Oct. 14, for 'drive device and vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Xu, Jingpei; Ou, Xuliao; and Chen, Chuanlei.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A drive device having a first torque transmission path and a second torque transmission path, torque being able to be transmitted between a ring gear and a sun gear alternately via the first torque transmission path or the second torque transmission path, a first clutch unit and a second clutch unit both being one-way clutches, torque being transmitted via the first torque transmission path when the first clutch unit is coupled and the second clutch unit is separated, torque being transmitted via the second torque transmission path, when the first clutch unit is separated and the second clutch unit is coupled, and, in a state in which the first clutch unit and the second clutch unit are both coupled, a third clutch unit being separated and either the first torque transmission path or the second torque transmission path being cut off."
