MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527075108 A) filed by Mitsubishi Electric Mobility Corporation, Tokyo, on Aug. 7, for 'drive device and electric power steering device.'
Inventor(s) include Nagao Takashi; Saito Masatoshi; and Uneme Yutaka.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A drive device according to the present disclosure includes: a motor that includes a motor body having a rotor and two sets of windings, a frame accommodating the motor body, and a housing fitted to the frame; and a control unit that is attached to the motor and that controls a current to be supplied to the two sets of windings. The control unit has: a wiring board that has a first surface facing the housing and a second surface opposite to the first surface; a first inverter circuit and a second inverter circuit that can supply a current independently to each of the two sets of windings; and a CPU that controls the first inverter circuit and the second inverter circuit. A first switching element that constitutes the first inverter circuit is disposed on the first surface of the wiring board, and a second switching element that constitutes the second inverter circuit is disposed on the second surface of the wiring board."
