MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611022557 A) filed by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana, on Feb. 25, for 'drinking water supply system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A drinking water supply system comprises a housing 101, a replaceable water bottle supply unit 102 is connected through a non return valve to a central inlet manifold 103 for distributing water, a multi tap dispensing assembly 104 with four independently controlled taps 104a respectively dedicated to dispensation of hot, cold, ambient, and reclaimed filtered water by a solenoid valve 104b, an audio guidance module 107 comprising a speaker 107a, a microphone 107b, and a tactile push button 107c for non verbal operation, a wastewater drain and collection unit 108 transfers water, a solid waste removal unit 113 including an extendable L shaped linkage 113a with a flapping gate 113b removes debris, a multistage wastewater filtration and reuse unit 111 produces reclaimed non potable water, a platform lift 114 accommodate the user, an imaging camera 115 estimates height relative to tap's position and guides in lift's elevation."
