MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311084467 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 11, 2023, for 'drawing assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Harsimranjeet Singh; and Ashwini K. Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A drawing assistive device, comprises of an elongated body 1 configured with multiple suction cups 2 via multiple links 3 for adhering the body 1 on a fixed surface, a pair of extendable plate 4 configured with the body 1 to place a drawing sheet between the plate 4, a laser sensor mapped on one of the plates 4 for detecting thickness of the sheet, a pair of motorized pivot joints 5 configured between the plates 4 and body 1 for tilting the plates 4 towards the sheet, a camera 6 mounted on the body 1 for capturing multiple images of sheet, multiple motorized hinges 7 configured between the links 3 and body 1 for inclining the body 1 with respect to the links 3 at user-defined angle, and a holographic projection unit 8 mounted on the body 1 for projecting holograms of the user-fed image on the sheet."
