MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014321 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'double door locking device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sukhdeep Kaur; Dr. Simarpreet Kaur; Maitri Bhardwaj; and Pearl.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A double door locking device, comprises of an elongated telescopically operated frame 1 developed to be positioned between handles of a double door, a computing unit installed with a user-interface for enabling a user to give input commands for securing the frame 1 with the handles, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 mounted on the frame 1 for detecting exact location of the handles, multiple curved-shaped members 4 configured with each of the ends of the frame 1 s, an ultrasonic sensor positioned on each of the unit 3 detects dimensions of the handles, motorized hinges 5 configured between the members 4 for tilting the members 4 towards/away from each other and securely gripping the handles, and a microphone positioned on the frame 1 to give voice commands or unlocking the door."
