MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019742 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'document management device for letter box.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Meenakshi Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A document management device for letter box, comprises of a cuboidal body 1 installed with a touch enabled screen 2 accessed by a user to provide input regarding document to be transported through post, a plate 6 carved on an opening 4 of body 1 to translate out and enable the user to place documents underneath a pair of rollers 5, a camera 7 to detect dimensions of the documents, a telescopically operated gripper 9 to grip an envelope from chambers 8 for inserting document within the envelope, a glue dispenser 12 configured with a robotic arm 11 to paste flap of the envelope and secure documents into the envelope, a printing unit 14 to print address over the envelope, a fingerprint sensor 3 to verify a postman and a motorized door 16 to open the body 1 and enable postman to access the envelopes for delivery of the documents."
