MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511104052 A) filed by Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Oct. 29, 2025, for 'divider fixture for proportional scaling of dimensions in drafting applications.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rohit Kumar; and Durvish Mehta.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a divider fixture for proportional scaling of dimensions in drafting applications. The divider fixture comprises a support housing configured to retain a hinge assembly, a first arm supported by the hinge assembly, and a second arm supported by the hinge assembly. A ratio coupling unit is operatively connected between the first arm and the second arm and is configured to impose a proportional displacement. A biasing unit is supported within the hinge assembly and is adapted to apply preload to maintain engagement of the ratio coupling unit such that motion of the first arm is scaled into motion of the second arm."
