MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517090509 A) filed by Nec Corporation, Tokyo, on Sept. 22, for 'distributed unit, central unit, ran node, wireless terminal, and methods thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Futaki Hisashi; and Hayashi Sadafuku.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This distributed unit (DU) receives, from a central unit (CU), one or more first messages pertaining to the preparation of one or more candidate cells for L1/L2-triggered Mobility (LTM) of a wireless terminal. The DU transmits one or more second messages to the CU in response to the reception of one or more first messages. The one or more second messages indicate which of a complete Medium Access Control (MAC) reset or a partial MAC reset is applied to LTM cell switching between an original source cell and an arbitrary cell included in one or more candidate cells, or between two arbitrary cells included in one or more candidate cells. For example, this makes it possible for the DU to notify the CU which of the complete MAC reset or the partial MAC reset is applied to the LTM candidate cell provided by the DU."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 27, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/012163.
