MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018901 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'disposable cups dispensing device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A disposable cups dispensing device consists of a cylindrical body 1 affixed to a surface via suction cups 2, featuring circular discs 3 to hold disposable cups of various sizes, laser sensors on the discs 3 detect cup diameters, and an expandable pulley system secures the cups, a touch screen 6 enables user input for cup selection, a camera 7 identifies the desired cup type, a motorized slider aligns the cups with an opening 9 at the base, an iris lid 8 opens, and a telescopic gripper 11 withdraws the specified cups, placing them on a platform 10, a speaker 12 notifies the user to collect the cups."
