MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517043223 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on May 5, for 'display module and manufacturing method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Min, Sungyong; Jang, Kyungwoon; Kim, Jinyoung; and Chung, Changkyu.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A display module and a display module manufacturing method are disclosed. Specifically, the display module according to the present disclosure comprises: a circuit driving substrate; a plurality of first electrodes on the driving substrate; a plurality of semiconductor layers; a plurality of second electrodes corresponding to the plurality of first electrodes, respectively; a plurality of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) including a plurality of protrusion parts on the plurality of second electrodes and a plurality of metal layers connected to the plurality of second electrodes, respectively, the plurality of LEDs being disposed on the plurality of protrusion parts; and a non-conductive film layer provided between the driving substrate and the plurality of LEDs, wherein the plurality of first electrodes and the plurality of second electrodes may be connected by the plurality of metal layers."
