Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Display Device Including Inner Mold And Manufacturing Method Of Same' Filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.

MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517084434 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 5, for 'display device including inner mold and manufacturing method of same.'

Inventor(s) include Lee, Dokyun; Ryu, Jeongyi; Seo, Sungkyo; Lim, Gun; and Cho, Hyunje.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A display device according to one embodiment may comprise: a housing; a display panel provided inside the housing; a cover layer coupled to an upper side of the display panel and including a protruding area that protrudes beyond a side surface of the display panel; an inner mold disposed on a lower side of the protruding area of the cover layer so as to be spaced a predetermined distance from the side surface of the display panel; and a sealing member provided in the space between the inner mold and the display panel. In one embodiment, the sealing member may contact each of the display panel, the cover layer, and the inner mold."

The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 29, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/095063.
