MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617004473 A) filed by Samsung Display Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Jan. 16, for 'display device and manufacturing method therefor.'
Inventor(s) include Lee, Jung-Woo; and Kim, Wooyoung.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a display panel, the display panel comprising: a base substrate; a light-emitting element disposed on the base substrate and including a light-emitting layer; an inorganic deposition layer disposed on the light-emitting element; and an encapsulation layer disposed on the inorganic deposition layer, wherein the inorganic deposition layer includes a first portion including a first upper surface inclined at a first angle with respect to the upper surface of the base substrate and a second portion including a second upper surface substantially parallel to the upper surface of the base substrate, and a first thickness of the first portion is greater than a second thickness of the second portion. Accordingly, external light reflection characteristics may be reduced and film uniformity may be improved, thereby improving display efficiency of the display device."
The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 29, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/012938.
