MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514032557 A) filed by Samsung Display Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on April 2, for 'display device and electronic device including the same.'
Inventor(s) include Chang-Yeol Lee; Jaewon Kim; Joong-Soo Moon; Youngjin Cho; and Hansol Kim.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A display device includes: a substrate (SUB) having a display area (DA) and a non-display area (NDA) adjacent to the display area (DA); a plurality of pixels (PX) on the substrate (SUB), and each of which comprises a transistor (TR1, TR2, TR3) and a light emitting element (OLED) connected to the transistor (TR1, TR2, TR3); an encapsulating layer (TFE) covering the pixels (PX) and having an end (TFE_E) defined in the non-display area (NDA); a crack detecting circuit (PCD) in the non-display area (NDA) along at least a portion of an edge of the display area (DA), and comprising one end and the other end; and an antistatic circuit (ESCa, ESCb) in the non-display area (NDA) and connected to the crack detecting circuit (PCD), wherein the antistatic circuit (ESCa, ESCb) is spaced apart from the end (TFE_E) of the encapsulating layer (TFE) in a plan view."
