MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514032255 A) filed by Samsung Display Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on April 1, for 'display device.'
Inventor(s) include Young Jin Cho; Han Sol Kim; Joong Soo Moon; Chang Yeol Lee; and Eun Byul Jo.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A display device (10) includes: a display panel (110) including: a plurality of light emitting elements (LE) in a display area (DA) for displaying an image; and an inorganic area (VAL) in a non-display area (NDA) around the display area (DA). Each of the plurality of light emitting elements (LE) includes: a pixel electrode (PXE); a light emitting layer (EL) on the pixel electrode (PXE); and a common electrode (CE) on the light emitting layer (EL). The display panel (110) includes a first side, a second side opposite to the first side, and a third side connected to the first side and the second side. In the non-display area (NDA) on the first side of the display panel (110), the common electrode (CE) overlaps with the inorganic area (VAL), and in the non-display area (NDA) on the third side of the display panel (110), the common electrode (CE) is spaced from the inorganic area (VAL)."
