MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517050811 A) filed by Societe Des Produits Nestle S. A., Vevey, Switzerland, on May 27, for 'dispensing system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention is directed to a dispensing system (100, 200, 300, 400, 500) for dispensing a bulk material (1), comprising: a flexible or semi-flexible pouch (10) comprising a compartment (11) for storing the bulk material (1), a dispensing section (12), and a hanger portion (13) by which the pouch (10) can be hung up such that the bulk material (1) can flow, by gravity, from the compartment (11) via the dispensing section (12) out of the pouch (10); a dispensing mechanism (110, 210, 310, 410, 510) attached to the pouch (10), wherein the dispensing mechanism (110, 210, 310, 410, 510) comprises two parts (111, 112; 211, 212; 311, 312; 411, 412; 511, 512) which are manually moveable relative to one another so as to move between a closed position in which the dispensing section (12) is closed, by the two parts (111, 112; 211, 212; 311, 312; 411, 412; 511, 512), so as to prevent the bulk material (1) from flowing via the dispensing section (12) out of the pouch (10), and an open position in which the dispensing section (12) is, by the two parts (111, 112; 211, 212; 311, 312; 411, 412; 511, 512), unfolded or allowed to unfold to form a dispensing channel (12.4) so that the bulk material (1) can flow, by gravity, from the compartment (11) via the dispensing section (12) out of the pouch (10); and an elastic element (120, 220, 320, 420, 520) arranged to force the two parts (111, 112; 211, 212; 311, 312; 411, 412; 511, 512) towards the closed position."
