MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441074923 A) filed by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kollam, Kerala, on April 3, 2025, for 'disaster management system with rapid community resilience.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a system (100) and method (300,400, 500) for disaster management with community resilience. The system (100) includes but not limited to a broadcast network (102) that transmits an evacuation signal through a public address system (102-2), a transportation network (104) that coordinates evacuation through a watercraft (104-2) and initiates a bounce-back operation (204-2), a shelter network (106) that deploys a temporary housing unit (106-2) and initiates a build-back-better operation (204-4), a medical network (108) that deploys a telemedicine unit (108-2), a livelihood network (110) that distributes a skill development resource and initiates a bounce-forward operation (204-6), an infrastructure network (112), and a bio-shield network (114). Unlike conventional disaster management approaches that initiate build-back-better and bounce-forward operations during recovery and mitigation phases respectively, the system (100) initiates these operations from the response phase (202-4), enabling accelerated community resilience characterized by resilience attributes (210)."
