MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421014707 A) filed by Reliance Consumer Products Limited, Maharashtra, on Feb. 28, 2024, for 'dilutable concentrated detergent composition.'

Inventor(s) include B S Avinash; Khatode Rushikesh Sharad; Kumar Rohit; Patel Akshita Mansukh; and Roychowdhury Sumana.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to concentrated and super-concentrated liquid laundry detergent composition (i.e., premix) suitable for dilution or reconstitution with water. Disclosed is a liquid detergent composition comprising: a) 60 to 95 wt% active detergent consisting of: i) a linear alkyl benzene sulphonate having ammoniacal counterion; and, ii) a nonionic surfactant; where ratio of the linear alkyl benzene sulphonate to the nonionic surfactant is 1:1 to 6:1 parts by weight; b) 2 to 10 wt% of a hydrophilic solvent selected from the group consisting of ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, sorbitol and glycerol; and, c) 1 to 25 wt% water; wherein, said composition is free of soap, linear alkyl benzene sulphonate having alkali metal counterion, and sulphated anionic surfactant."
