MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541122959 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 5, 2025, for 'digital twin hvac system with dual-state lstm forecasting.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Balaji G N; Dr. Praveen Kumar G; Bussa Sai Rishin; and Nathani Sai Kiran.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a digital twin HVAC system comprising a data acquisition module configured to collect real-time sensor data from HVAC sensors measuring temperature, humidity, airflow, and CO2 concentration, a data preprocessing module configured to handle missing values, detect outliers, and normalize data, a Phase-Shifted Dual-State Long Short-Term Memory (PSD-LSTM) neural network architecture comprising a first LSTM cell configured to capture short-term temperature fluctuations and a second LSTM cell configured to capture long-term seasonal patterns with phase-shift operation for reduced computational overhead, a Memory-Temperature Long Short-Term Memory (MT-LSTM) neural network architecture comprising multiple LSTM layers with temperature controller modules that adapt to irregular time intervals, a forecasting module configured to generate temperature predictions using outputs from the PSD-LSTM and MT-LSTM architectures, and a deployment module configured for edge device implementation."
