MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521085618 A) filed by M/S. Elevate Building Solutions Llp, Maharashtra, on Sept. 9, 2025, for 'digital clay cladding.'

Inventor(s) include Siddharth Thakker; and Smita Tiwari.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a flexible digital clay cladding system (105) incorporating an embedded flexible light-emitting diode (LED) screen (102) for concealed digital display applications. The panel comprises a three-layer composite structure, including a translucent top layer (101) composed of a glass bead and kaolin mixture configured to visually mimic materials such as travertine, marble, or leather while allowing controlled light diffusion. The middle layer (102) comprises a bendable LED film configured to display dynamic content when powered on, while remaining completely concealed when off, thus preserving the decorative surface aesthetics. A bottom support layer (103) formed from unfired kaolin clay mixed with functional additives provides thermal stability, hydrophobicity, and structural flexibility. The panel is powered via an integrated electrical interface (104) and exhibits a total thickness of approximately 5 mm (106). The invention enables modular, weather-resistant, and non-intrusive display surfaces for architectural, signage, or ambient media applications."
