MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621008742 A) filed by Sage University, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Jan. 28, for 'digital agricultural assistance system and method of operating the same.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Prashant Jain; Aman Saini; Balram Meena; Pratham Sharma; Dr. Ati Jain; and Dr. Ritu Tandon.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A digital agricultural assistance system (100) for integrated crop management and disease detection comprises a server (106) communicatively coupled to a mobile device (104) via a communication interface (108), and a hardware processor (102). The hardware processor (102) receives farm-specific data from the mobile device (104) and analyzes the farm-specific data using a trained artificial neural network model (112) to generate a crop recommendation. The hardware processor (102) receives a plant image (116) captured by the mobile device (104) and processes the plant image (116) using a trained convolutional neural network model (114) to identify a plant disease by comparing the plant image (116) against a disease image database (110). The hardware processor (102) transmits the crop recommendation and disease identification result to the mobile device (104) for display."
