MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641008096 A) filed by Sameer Gajanan Zade, Warangal, Telangana, on Jan. 28, for 'differential pitch pin-bolt external fixation system for fracture compression.'
Inventor(s) include Sameer Gajanan Zade; and Punam Hemraj Pardeshi.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention, pin-bolt external fixation device for stabilizing fracture by interfragmentary compression. the system comprises a fully threaded, solid/hollow kisrchner wire. differential pitch of kirschner wire causes relative axial compression between bone fragments and an advancement of compression bolt, thereby converting axial force to compression force. the kirschner wire included a self-drilling, self-cutting distal tip enabling percutaneous insertion without pre-drilling. compression may be applied from one or both sides of fracture to achieve adjustable and symmetrical interfragmentary compression. this device allows minimal invasive fracture stabilization, minimal soft tissue disruption and preservation of blood supply without need for external invasive implant."
