Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Diabetofils-Monofilament Pen With Selective Click-Actuation For Sensory Assessment' Filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences

MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641022372 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 25, for 'diabetofils-monofilament pen with selective click-actuation for sensory assessment.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A multi-filament monotilament pen for sensory assessment includes a pen-shaped housing that contains multiple monofilaments of different force thresholds. The device allows for very fast, hygienic, and thus efficient sensory testing and is particularly useful in the assessment of peripheral neuropathy, including diabetic neuropathy."
