MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611048695 A) filed by Vivekananda Institute Of Professional Studies - Technical Campus, New Delhi, on April 16, for 'diabetes risk assessment, prevention, and management system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A diabetes risk assessment, prevention, and management system, comprises of a wearable belt 101 to be worn around a waist of a user, a sensing unit to continuously monitor belt 101 tightness, skin contact, and pressure distribution, a cam-lock clip arrangement 102 to securely fasten the belt 101 upon achieving a desired fit, a sensing suite to collect physiological and activity-related data of the user, an analysis module to analyze collected physiological, behavioral, and lifestyle data to predict early signs of diabetes and assess a diabetes risk level of the user, an embedded speaker 110 to provide voice alerts, receive voice commands, a microphone 111 to enable interactive communication with the user-interface, and a non-invasive glucose monitoring module to estimate glucose levels when the assessed diabetes risk exceeds a predefined threshold."
