MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517075411 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland, on Aug. 7, for 'devices, methods and apparatuses for timing advance.'

Inventor(s) include Laddu, Keeth Saliya Jayasinghe; and Deghel, Matha.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose devices, methods and apparatuses for timing advance (TA). A terminal device receives, from a serving cell for the terminal device, a configuration of quasi co-location (QCL) for one or more candidate cells for the terminal device. Then, the terminal device transmits a physical random access channel (PRACH) to at least one candidate cell in the one or more candidate cells. Moreover, the terminal device monitors, from the at least one candidate cell, a random access response(RAR), based on the configuration of QCL for the at least one candidate cell."

The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 05, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/050183.
