MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517075363 A) filed by Khonin, Viktor Alexandrovich, Ladushkin, Russia, on Aug. 7, for 'device for the stepless transmission of torque.'
Inventor(s) include Khonin, Viktor Alexandrovich; and Khonin, Yuriy Viktorovich.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering. A device for the stepless transmission of torque comprises a drive shaft 2, a driven shaft 3, auxiliary shafts 4 and 5, a gear wheel 6, spur gears 7, 8, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, differential pinion shafts 9 and 10, bevel gears 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, a flanged bushing 19, a sliding bushing with a disc 25, and a fork lever 26 mounted on a pivot pin in a housing 1. Disposed between the fork lever 26 and the disc of the bushing with a disc 25 is a support bearing 28. Mounted diametrically opposite one another on pivot pins in the flange of the flanged bushing 19 are levers 30, one end of which touches the disc of the bushing with a disc 25 and the other end of which enters into apertures in spur gear 23. Mounted between the ends of the levers 30 that touch the disc of the bushing with a disc 25 and the flange of the flanged bushing 19 are springs. The invention provides a smooth change in gear ratios during the transmission of torque from one shaft to another by means of mechanical engagement."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 09, 2023, under International application No.PCT/RU2023/000340.
