MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026099 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'device for slicing of a bread loaf.'

Inventor(s) include Kuldeep; Pramod; Rohit; Paras Patial; and Kaushik.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A device for slicing of a bread loaf, comprising a cuboidal frame 1, attached on a base plate 2 integrated with frame 1 for inserting a bread loaf in frame 1, a lower flap 3 of attached to a primary slider 4 translates loaf, a knife 5 on a secondary slider 6 by a T-shaped member 7 with a vibrating unit, for cutting a width of loaf extending upwards from frame 1, a robotic arm 8 with a gripper, attached to base plate 2, for picking up a sliced piece of bread and keeping sliced piece in a storage bowl 10 attached to base plate 2, a roller 9 having a roll of plastic wrap provided with bowl 10, robotic arm 8 pulls plastic wrap across bowl 10."
