MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073948 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'device for relocating a pet animal.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Aaruni; Ruby; Sonali; and Rohit Singh.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A device for relocating a pet animal comprises of a cuboidal container 1 made of multiple flaps, for housing pet having four telescopic rods 2 with motorized tracked wheels 3 at their ends attached underneath container 1 for a locomotion of container, flaps 4 on lateral surfaces of container 1 being combinations of two plates positioned vertically with a drawer mechanism for allowing a change in height of container 1 to accommodate pet, a laser sensor mounted on container 1 detects a height of pet, a pair of L-shaped telescopic arms 5 linked on sides of container 1 by ball and socket joints, arms 5 having soft rectangular members at their ends, for guiding pet into container, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 6 mounted on container 1 to determine a movement of pet, a microphone 7 mounted on base for receiving an audio command from a user regarding relocation of pet."
