MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026075 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'device for reducing an effort from a user on a foot pedal of a sewing machine.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A device for reducing an effort from a user on a foot pedal of a sewing machine, comprising a rectangular primary plate 1 having a rectangular secondary plate 2 above the primary plate 1 attached to the primary plate 1 by four electromagnetic springs 3 at four corners for enabling a relative movement, a foot slot 4 attached to the secondary plate 2 by sliders for aligning with a foot of the user, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 installed on the secondary plate 2 to determine a presence of a foreign object between the primary plate 1 and the secondary plate 2, a holographic projection unit 6 installed on the secondary plate 2 to project a guiding image on the secondary plate 2 to guide the user's foot in the foot slot 4 and a microphone 7 provided on the secondary plate 2 for receiving audio commands."
