MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024151 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'device for providing support for handheld heavy machinery.'

Inventor(s) include Vishal; Rishab; Parveen Kumar; Anikate; and Sarabjit Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A device for providing support for handheld heavy machinery, comprises a belt 1 affixed on waist of the user, air cushion 3 aligns with back of the user, a motorized roller 4 accommodates spool of string with clamp 5 for attaching the heavy machinery, a front shield 6 shields to protect the user from excessive heat, T-shaped bottom support telescopic bar 8 extends to make contact with the ground, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 9 captures images of vicinity, telescopic L-shaped member 2 extends/retracts to align the machinery with user's hand, sensing module detects height of the user, pressure, weight and temperature, a microphone 10 receives voice command of the user."
