MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202344041058 A) filed by Maschinenfabrik Rieter Ag, Winterthur, Switzerland, on June 16, 2023, for 'device for producing a lap roll.'
Inventor(s) include Schmid, Alexander; and Aerne, Adrian.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a device for producing a lap roll (5) from a lap web (1), having a revolving endless belt (10), wherein a core (6) for receiving the lap roll (5) is arranged in a loop (21) of the belt (10) which is formed between a first rotatably mounted deflection roller (12) and a second rotatably mounted deflection roller (15) and becomes larger with an increasing lap roll diameter (7). The first deflection roller (12) has a first deflection roller shaft (13) and a first deflection roller surface (14), and the second deflection roller (15) has a second deflection roller shaft (16) and a second deflection roller surface (17). For guidance of the lap web (1), a calender roller pair having a first calender roller (23) and a second calender roller (24) is arranged between the deflection rollers (12,15), the calender rollers (23, 24) forming a clamping line (25) between them."
