MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026104 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'device for making incense stick.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Shivani Vaid; Dr. Geetika Sharma; Nishtha; and Pallavi.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A device for making incense stick comprises a rectangular base 1 having a waste container 2 for storing a flower waste, robotic arm 3 having a tray 4 at its end, attached to the base 1, picks the flower waste from the waste container 2, a blower 7 provided on the base 1 for blowing air onto a drying plate 5, an electromagnetic spring 6 to tilt the drying plate 5, an iris hole to dispense a binding agent in a grinder unit, a robotic link 8 with a nozzle 9 pumps the paste, a Peltier unit elevates the temperature of the slot, a robotic limb 10 attached to the base 1 having a gripper 11 picks a formed incense stick, a sensing module detects a presence of the flower waste in the waste container 2, and an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 12 scan obstacles in a path of the robotic arm 3."
