MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023463 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'device for making hairpins.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A device for making hairpins, comprising a hollow box 1 having a bottom container 2 attached to an inner bottom surface of the box, a top part 3 attached to an inner top surface of box 1 by a first telescopic rod 4 above bottom container, a Peltier unit 5 attached to a metal reservoir 9 mapped on the box 1 to heats a metal in reservoir, a nozzle 6 connected to metal reservoir 9 to fill enclosed volume with molten metal for forming a shape of hairpin with metal, a sensing module 7 attached to box 1 to determine if molten metal inside enclosed volume has solidified into a hairpin shape, a robotic arm 8 is provided inside box 1 to remove a burr on hairpin to achieve an accurate shape for hairpin."
