MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024802 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'device for hanging a bicycle on a wall.'

Inventor(s) include Vidhi; Crity Goyal; Gurleen; and Rashi.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A device for hanging a bicycle on a wall, comprising a vertical main plate 1 having plurality of suction units 2 attached on a wall and arranged with a hanger hook 3 on top region, a sliding plate 4 attached to a slider 5 on the main plate 1 to prevent direct contact between the bicycle and wall, a holding member 6 attached to the sliding plate 4 by an electromagnetic spring 7 to engage with rear wheel of bicycle, a pair of telescopic rods 8 with suction cups 9 to engage with center of bicycle to provide additional grip, a pair of cover plates 10 arranged on both side of main plate 1 via a ball and socket joint to shield a hanging bicycle from the wind, an imaging unit 11 installed on the main plate 1 to measure dimension of the bicycle to cover the bicycle properly."
