MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517059058 A) filed by Technip Energies France, Nanterre, France, on June 19, for 'device for degassing a gas-liquid mixture.'

Inventor(s) include De Sorbier, Thibault; and Van-Inghelandt, Anne-Sophie.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a device which comprises: - an inlet (7) for the fluid to be degassed and an outlet (8) for the degassed liquid arranged in a lower portion of a tank body or in one of the side walls; - a gas discharge port (9) arranged in the upper portion of the tank body; and - a duct (10) for conveying the fluid to be degassed, connected to the inlet (7) and comprising an outlet (11); and - an overflow structure (12) arranged in the gaseous layer, supplied with fluid to be degassed by the outlet (11). The overflow structure (12) comprises an opening facing the upper portion of the tank, configured to convey the fluid by providing gradual degassing as it is conveyed from the outlet (11), in order to supply the lower portion with at least partially degassed liquid and the upper portion with gas exiting through the opening."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 19, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/086586.
