MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544047352 A) filed by Vipo A. S., Partizanske, Slovakia, on May 16, for 'device for controlled positioning of the end of the core profile when applied to a foot rope and method of controlled positioning.'
Inventor(s) include Ing. Makva Roman; and Ing. Sulovsky Lukas.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The device for controlled positioning of apex profile (1) ends at its application on tyre bead (2) is an autonomous optional accessory of tyre bead apexing lines and contains an optical measuring sensor (12) placed from the outer side of the apex profile (1), a linear actuator (13) for movements in horizontal direction towards the apexed bead (2), which is firmly attached to the frame (11) of the apex applicator (10) of the apexing line (9), and a linear actuator (14) for movements in transversal direction towards the apexed bead (2), firmly attached to the linear actuator (13). The mechanism (15) for turning the end of the apex profile (1) is connected with the linear actuator (14) for movements in transversal direction, while the apex profile (1) is held by the apex profile end gripper (16) designed for making corrections in the position of the apex profile (1) end for attaching the apex profile (1) end on the tyre bead (2). The optical measuring sensor (12) contains a light source (20) connected with an image scanning unit (21), to which a data processing unit (22) is connected. The data processing unit (22) is connected with a communication unit (23), while the optical measuring sensor (12) is through the communication unit (23) connected with the programmable logical controller PLC (24) of the tyre bead winding line (9)."
